Blake Shelton with Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer
Shelton moved to Nashville at seventeen years old to pursue a career in country music. After several painstaking years he finally scored a deal with Giant Records in 1998. He recorded what became Toby Keith's signature hit "I Wanna Talk About Me", but it was ultimately scrapped in favor of the single "Austin". Either way, Shelton made a huge impact on the country charts when he released his debut in 2001. It featured the hits "All Over Me" and a cover of the George Jones classic "Ol' Red". Shelton was nominated for the Best New Male Vocalist award at the 2002 Academy of Country Music Awards and shot to country fame.
Shelton followed up with The Dreamer in 2003 which featured the #1 single "The Baby". He released his third album Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill in 2004 which featured "Some Beach" and "Nobody but Me". He released his fourth album Pure BS in 2007 which was produced by veteran country musician Bobby Braddock. The album featured a cover version of Michael Buble's "Home" which became his fourth #1 country single. His fifth album, Startin' Fires was released in 2009 and featured his fifth #1 hit single, "She Wouldn't' Be Gone".
Since his last album, Shelton has released a series of highly successful extended plays. In 2009, he recorded the track "Hillbilly Bone" with Trace Adkins which also reached number one and was awarded "Vocal Event of the Year" by the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association in 2010. In 2010 he released the EP All About Tonight which featured the #1 title track and the #1 single "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking". By years end, he had enough singles to release a Greatest Hits album and was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. He topped off 2010 by winning the Male Vocalist of the Year Award at the 44th ACM Music Awards.
2011 is gearing up to be a huge year for Shelton. He will be starring on NBC reality competition show "The Voice" as a judge. Additionally, he is getting married to Miranda Lambert, the union will certainly make them the hottest country couple since Tim and Faith. Finally, Shelton has released his latest single "Honey Bee", which is racing up both the country and pop charts and is his highest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 to-date. Shelton has proved that he is a country star with eight #1 singles and a shining personality. Don't miss out when he comes to town. Easton Corbin: Country music has found its latest male vocalist in the form of Easton Corbin. The Floridian hit it big in 2009 with his cowboy anthem "A Little More Country Than That", which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Country Charts. The crooner is bringing his act on the road this spring and summer; Easton Corbin tour dates are currently scheduled nationally.
After graduating with a degree in agribusiness from the University of Florida in 2006, Corbin moved with his wife to Nashville in pursuit of a recording contract. Working his contacts and his guitar, Corbin was able to secure a deal with Universal Music Group Nashville after being introduced to A&R execs by his uncle. Before cutting an album, Corbin released "A Little More Country Than That" to radio in 2009. The song was co-penned with Rory Lee Feek, of Joey + Rory, fame and quickly became a huge hit. Corbin was under pressure to produce his debut album before buzz for the single faded. He quickly recorded and released his self-titled debut in 2010 and became the year's breakout star!
The album debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 and was an immediate hit. The album yielded a second #1 single, "Roll With It", in April as well as the current single "I Can't Love You Back". In the short time that Corbin has been on the country scene, he has already been nominated for several awards including the 2011 ACM Top New Solo Vocalist award and a CMT Music Award for "A Little More Country Than That". In support of his debut effort, Easton Corbin concert dates have been scheduled nationally. Jana Kramer: If you ask Jana Kramer to describe her life in this very moment she would say, “Dreams really do come true.” The singer/songwriter/actress has already had success with three songs that were featured on The CW’s “One Tree Hill,” where she plays the firecracker actress, Alex Dupre. Jana will debut a fourth song on “One Tree Hill” this upcoming season that will air mid-January.
Jana is no stranger to the bright lights with her impressive string of movie and television roles, but she credits her recent break into the music industry as her most important accomplishment to date.
“I love acting, but my heart and soul is in singing. I’ve been terrified to pursue this dream because it’s so personal to me. If someone tells me they don’t like my voice, it’s a lot harder of a hit to take,” said Jana. “This is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve wanted to do music my entire life.
Growing up in Michigan, Jana is no stranger to the rich history of country music, crediting one of her favorite memories to baking cookies with her grandmother while listening to Patsy Cline. These little moments are one of the many reasons why Jana hopes to share her music with others.
And she’s doing just that as the singer-songwriter is lighting up country music with her emotionally moving songs and sweet, country vocals, selling over 150,000 digital singles in the first six months. All eyes are on Jana as she boldly graces country music with a fresh, new sound and powerful new music.
“Country music is in my blood. I love country music because it tells a story and I have a lot of stories to tell.”
